Very unique project involving designs and illustrations for cakes to assist a direct marketing business which sold custom multi-level cake pans. Because the custom pans create a filling area for the cakes but were not yet available for use, client needed these to help explain the idea to buyers so they'd know what could be done with this unique, easy-to-use product.

• While I am no chef, nor even a cook, I do like cake and was able to use my own experience as a dessert-eater to create 3 very different cakes that would show off different recipes and styles.
• Designs we originally sketched on paper in Pencil, then scanned and painted using "Painter" digital painting software and wacom pressure-sensitive tablet.
• While not as specific as a photograph, an advantage of illustration is providing a more artistic and perhaps open feeling.
